Monroe, LA: 3 CLDR members on their way!

We are excited to have 3 members of Child Life Disaster Relief (2 CCLS’s and 1 CL student) on their way with Children’s Disaster Services to assist flood victims in Monroe, LA.  We thank everyone who considered going by responding to the request and we look forward to hearing more about their deployment!  Stay tuned for more updates upon their return.

Deployment Alert: Louisiana Flooding

Children’s Disaster Services is being asked to serve in a shelter in Monroe, Louisiana in response to the flooding. We are seeking CDS certified volunteers who are interested and able to respond.   Hoping to get the first team out as early as Wednesday morning.

If you are able, please e-mail with the following information:

  • Name
  • Phone #
  • What day you could leave home
  • How many days you could serve

Our needs are still being assessed, while deployment is not guaranteed, we do appreciate any expressed interest.   Finally, please check your e-mail frequently for updates on deployment needs.

December 2-3rd in Seattle with the Pacific Northwest Child Life Association
