Purpose: Provide the foundational information and training for all CLDR child life specialist disaster responders. This training ensures that all volunteers representing Child Life Disaster Relief on disaster response understand the foundational principles to provide optimal care for children and families after disasters.
Prerequisites to be completed prior to virtual training:
CCLS Certification with the Association of Child Life Professionals
CLDR 101: Disaster Response and How Child Life Fits (Free)
CLDR 102: Simplifying the Response: Five essential needs of children during disasters (Free)
CLDR 103: Psychosocial Interventions After Disaster: The Advanced Skill of Child Directed Play ($25)
PDUs 4 hour virtual training: 4 PDUs
Training + Prerequisites: 7 PDUs
