Experiencing a disaster, natural or man-made, can introduce a number of vulnerabilities , traumas, or fears to children. To combat this, several agencies, including one dedicated to children’s psychosocial needs, joined together to serve affected families. Hear personal experiences of two child life specialists who responded to the Florida hurricane and the Las Vegas mass shooting, learning how child life foundations, skills, and knowledge can be utilized to provide disaster relief support in the community setting.
