It has certainly been a busy fall between the TX border crisis and Hurricanes Florence and Michael.
In the last 2 months a total of 15 Certified Child Life Specialist have or are currently deployed with our partner Children’s Disaster Services to the various disasters. Five of those went to Panama City Beach, FL to help with survivors of Hurricane Michael – Jeannette Neal, Colleen Rosen, Sara Bresnahan, Katie Stein, and DeAnna Bay. Eight were deployed to North Carolina in response to Hurricane Florence, and two more were deployed to the TX border crisis.
We continue to keep all those affected by the recent flurry of disasters, as well as those serving in these communities in our thoughts and prayers.
