Caitlin Novelli has been a certified Child Life Specialist since 2011 working at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In her time there, Caitlin has worked in day surgery, inpatient GI, and currently works in outpatient GI supporting patients coming in for diagnostic procedures as well as supporting the psychosocial needs of chronically ill children.

Caitlin serves as a facilitator for the hospital’s Youth Advisory Council where patients are encouraged to share their ideas and opinions. Caitlin has been an advocate for the expansion of child life services within the hospital and is excited to be apart of Child Life Disaster Relief and bring child life services into the community. As a Life is Good Playmaker, Caitlin believes that there is always an opportunity to bring joy and optimism to any situation and attempts to greet each day with the mentality that “you don’t have to, you get to.”
