As of June 2015, we have formed a partnership with Children’s Disaster Services (CDS) for national and local deployments. They are an organization with 35+ years of experience working with the American Red Cross and FEMA to provide specialized child-centered play opportunities to children in the immediate aftermath of a natural or man-made disaster. They have been providing intensive trainings since 1980. With this partnership, child life specialists will be able to participate in smaller-scale local events as well as larger-scale national disasters by providing child-centered play opportunities with Children’s Disaster Services.

Workshop Costs for Participants:
- Standard CDS trainings are $45 for early bird registration ($55 for late)
- Child life-specific CDS trainings are $55
Child Life PDU’s:
PDU’s are available for child life specialists upon request. Depending on the training format, between 7 to 10 PDU’s are awarded and are broken down into the subcategories of Assessment, Intervention, and Professional Responsibility. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request PDU’s after you have completed the training.
