Becca began her career as a Certified Child Life Specialist in 2015 and brings experience from her time spent covering the Emergency Department and Pediatric ICU at Cardon Children’s Medical Center where she gained an immense passion for supporting children through traumatic experiences. She dedicated her work to building a strong child life presence in the trauma bay while working towards her Master’s degree in Child Life at Bank Street College of Education. Currently, she oversees her child life team in a Level 1 Trauma Center as a Child Life Supervisor at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and became a Local Program Manager for Child Life Disaster Relief. She strives to use her training as a Life Is Good Playmaker to bring optimism as well as trauma informed care to the hospital setting and in her community.
