Following the devastating events in Ukraine the Ch Following the devastating events in Ukraine the Child Life Disaster Relief deployment team were able to facilitate a number of activities to promote normalization, expression, and coping. Some of the activities encouraged creative expression through movement, yoga, dancing, and drawing. Our hearts and thoughts are with all those impacte Our hearts and thoughts are with all those impacted by the McKinney and surrounding wildifres.

For all those directly, or indirectly impacted, we have free resources for caregivers available. These resources can help with explaining the wildfires, processing through play, and expressing feelings.

Be honest with children and keep explanations simple. Encourage children to ask questions and lead the discussion.

Here are a few ideas to support children who may be concerned. Additional free resources are available on our website.
