Caitlin McNamara, MS, CCLS, CIMI
Caitlin is a certified Child Life Specialist and has been a CCLS since 2011. She is originally from Chicago, IL and began her child life career working in the Intensive Care Unit at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, San Francisco for 10 years. Caitlin then transitioned into working as a Director at a non-profit agency, Support for Families of Children with Disabilities, building programs and supporting families navigating local, state, and federal systems who have children with disabilities, medical complexities, and mental health needs.
Currently, Caitlin is the co-founder of Child Core Family Support, a community resource that provides consultation, resources, and information to caregivers of children going through medical experiences as well as support for providers who serve these families. Additionally, she works at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital on the Oakland campus in the hematology and oncology department. Caitlin has been a volunteer with Child Life Disaster Relief since 2019 with the Bay Area chapter.
