Troy earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music in 1996, and has been a software developer throughout his career. He started out working in advertising agencies, became an independent consultant in his 30s, and started his own company in 2014, Lampros Labs. Troy has also been an active volunteer in his community throughout his career, having founded several non-profits, and serving on the boards of a few others. He has a strong interest in science and technology, history, and has been an amateur musician throughout his life. He lives with his wife and son in Cincinnati, Ohio.
